Stream the New Jamey Jasta Track “The Immortal,” Written for UFC Fighter Matt Brown
Jamey Jasta’s been keeping a low profile of late. Hatebreed are opening for Slipknot on their Spring tour — which is a no-brainer gig any band would take if offered — but outside of his podcast Jamey hasn’t been up to a whole lot. Which is odd, because the dude’s usually involved with about 67 different projects at once.
So it’s good to see him resurface today with “The Immortal,” a new song he’s releasing under his solo Jasta moniker and the first to carry that name since 2011’s self-titled album. The song was written as an entrance theme for UFC fighter Matt “The Immortal” Brown, who will walk out to the song at the UFC 185 PPV event in Dallas, TX on March 14th. That means basically nothing to me — I can honestly say I’ve never watched a whole UFC fight — but if you’re into that kinda thing, sweet! For me it’s simply a good opportunity to jam a ripping new Jasta track.
Stream it below. No word on whether Jamey’s got more in the works for a new solo album.
