Cavalera Conspiracy Could Lead to a Death Angel
Last week, half of the version of Sepultura about which people care announced a thirtieth anniversary tour, and I cracked wise about how maybe Cavalera Conspiracy could do a similar tour and then at least you’d get to see both halves of the version of Sepultura about which people care, albeit separately from one another.
This week, Cavalera Conspiracy have made good on my wisecrack.
The band has just announced a tour with Death Angel, Corrosion of Conformity Blind (not to be confused with one of the other two versions of Corrosion of Conformity) and Lody Kong (the band with Max Cavalera’s son that isn’t Incite), the dates for which do, at least partially, overlap with the Sepultura tour. So you will have the chance to see all four musicians who wrote and recorded the good Sepultura albums play songs from those albums. Not all together, which would be ideal, but just a few weeks apart, so… that’s something, right?
Joking aside: I think Cavalera Conspiracy are pretty great, and Death Angel certainly kick all kinds of ass. And Lody Kong go on first so you don’t have to suffer through their set! Your call whether or not you care about the one of the three versions of Corrosion of Conformity that features the fewest actual members of Corrosion of Conformity. No judgments.
