Crowdfunding Campaign Launched for Documentary About Artist Vincent Castiglia
Even if he hadn’t done work for Triptykon, Vincent Castiglia would be one of the most metal dudes in art today — I mean, he paints in his own blood, for fuck’s sake. And that’s not just some dumb gimmick: his work is great. There’s a reason H.R. Giger wanted to collaborate with this dude, y’know?
Now award-winning filmmaker John Borowski (H.H. Holmes: Amreica’s Finest Serial Killer, Albert Fish, Serial Killer Culture) has commenced work on a documentary about Castiglia, Bloodlines: The Art and Life of Vincent Castiglia. According to a press release, the film will focus on “Castiglia’s inspirations and personal experiences,” chronicling both some of his work-in-progress as well as examining “Castiglia’s troubled past and his overcoming the odds to become a world-renowned, critically acclaimed artist.”
Sounds fantastic, right? One small problem: Borowski needs help covering all the costs that go into such an endeavor!
Wanna help out? Sure you do! And you can, via a crowdfunding campaign, which has been launched right here.
Borowski is seeking to raise $25,000, which is not that much money in the scheme of filmmaking; as of this writing, he’s hit $6,588, with 22 days left in the campaign. So he’s already more successful than Orgy.
Head over to Kickstarter to donate. Remember, every little bit helps, no matter how small!
