Worshipping Helmet is Never the Wrong Idea
If Turnstile are any indication, early-mid ’90s metal is cool again. And I am completely OK with that.
Miami outfit Wrong are the latest to emerge in the budding scene, although they’re different from the aforementioned in two key ways: 1) They’re old enough to have actually lives this shit through the first time. 2) Theirs is a way more serious brand: no baja hoodies and flipped up skate hats here… more like cargo shorts, Doc Martens and AmRep t-shirts (metaphorically speaking). The band features former members of Capsule, Torche and Kylesa, which should be enough to prove that these guys aren’t in it for the gimmick: they really mean it. Their new jam “Call It,” which premiered earlier this week on Noisey, is proof enough as well; jam it below.
Wrong will release the Stop Giving EP on Robotic Empire on March 5th, and they promise a full-length later in the year. Catch them on tour with Torche and Nothing throughout March.
