Megadeth Latest Band to Announce Announcement
Following in the footsteps of his idols in Judas Priest, Dave Mustaine has announced an impending announcement for his own band, Megadeth:
Next week will see an official press statement from Megadeth regarding the new recording.

Besides the public hinting that’s been done by Mustaine and Nick Menza, I haven’t heard any rumors regarding the identities of Megadeth’s new members. So Mustaine and compatriots are either really good at keeping a secret, or the announcement will be announcing that the album will feature Mustaine, Dave Ellefson, and some guest session players — y’know, kinda like The System Has Failed. That would be kinda disappointing.
Unless… The System Has Failed featured former ‘Deth guitarist Chris Poland; even if Mustaine didn’t manage to lure Marty Friedman back to the band as a full-fledged member, if he managed to Friedman to play all the leads in the studio, that would rule. Megadeth live isn’t exactly the most exciting thing in the world these days anyway — we might as well get a reunion album out of this whole mess, right?
