Jeff Loomis is in Nick Cordle’s Old Band Now, So Nick Cordle Has Joined Jeff Loomis’ Old Band
Nick Cordle has been announced as the new lead guitarist for Sanctuary — at least for their upcoming European tour. Cordle replaces Brad Hull, who replaced Jeff Loomis, who replaced Sean Blosl, who was fired because no one could figure out how to pronounce his surname.
Funnily enough, Loomis replaced Cordle in Arch Enemy this past November. This isn’t quite as direct a swap as when Rob Trujillo left Ozzy’s solo band to join Metallica and then Jason Newsted took his place in Ozzy’s solo band, but it’s close. Hopefully this ends better for Cordle than that did for Newsted.
Cordle, of course, first came to prominence in Arsis, which means he has a PhD in line-up changes. It’s only a matter of time until he replaces Jon Leon in White Wizzard after Leon replaces Brandon Ellis in Arsis.
