Video: Metallica Play for the Sales Force at Salesforce

I’ve heard about big companies hiring musicians or comedians to perform for their employees at parties, but the closest thing I ever got from my old boss was an iPod. So kudos to Salesforce for hiring freakin’ Metallica to play a surprise party for their employees last week, as documented in the below video. That could not have been cheap, unless Lars Ulrich owed someone a favor or something. Even if your feelings on modern day Metallica are mixed, you have to appreciate spending that much money as a gesture, right?

In fact, I’ll go on record right now as saying I’d really love to see more of this kind of thing. Bechtel throws a celebration with Slayer! Ernst & Young get Revocation to play their Christmas party! Bechtel’s corporate event features  an appearance by Eximperituserqethhzebibšiptugakkathšulweliarzaxułum! The possibilities are endless.
