Unsigned and Unholy: Never the Victim
Get ready to clear some space in your home so you can mosh without breaking anything or hurting yourself: I’ve only heard three songs from Alone, the new album from Texas’ Never the Victim, and I’m already on board.
The band plays modern death metal, which is to say, there are elements of deathcore, but their music isn’t really deathcore; they’d be equally at home opening for Suicide Silence or The Black Dahlia Murder. But regardless of how you wanna classify Never the Victim, you cannot deny that these fellas have figured out how to write a song that totally crushes. The three Alone songs are neck-breaking breakneck songs, the aural equivalent of a bull in a china shop. Like I said: clear some room!
