Gojira and Iggy Azalea Mash-Up: Still Better than Most Rap Metal

So our old chum Ben Robson made this mash-up of Gojira’s “Flying Whales” and Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” which is to say, he ruined a perfectly great Gojira song by adding rapping and auto-tuned vocals. Like, the track starts, with that absolutely ball-buster of a riff, and then Azalea shows up and it’s just so deflating, y’know?

That being said… the riff is SO good that I still enjoyed this more than any song I’ve ever heard by Limp Bizkit, hed PE, Linkin Park, P.O.D., Papa Roach, Hacktivist, or any other number of horrible bands that have attempted to meld rapping and metal. So, congrats, Iggy. The Duplantiers are so brilliant that just being in their general vicinity makes you seem kinda cool.
