Stone Sour Enter “Dark” Metal Church
Hey, so remember how Corey Taylor was going to make his acting debut in a very-silly-looking horror movie called Fear Clinic? Well… it’s out! And to help promote it, Stone Sour, the band for which Taylor is second-most famous, has released a cover of the title track from Metal Church’s 1986 album, The Dark.
You can check it out via the below video, which is super-irritating, because it keeps disruptively intercutting dialogue from the movie with the song. You can also just buy the digital single or stream it on Spotify; those versions, of course, don’t have all the dumb movie shit on ’em.
In any case, they didn’t change much from the original, other than to change David Wayne’s falsetto vocals. Which is honestly kind of a bummer, ’cause said vocals were metal as fucking fuck. Oh well.
