“Kiss of a Sycophant”: Make Out with Nightrage

As Vince Neilstein once so eloquently put it…

“Nightrage are about as traditional of a ‘Gothenburg’ metal band as you’ll find without time-warping back to an era when Anders Friden didn’t start whining through all of In Flames’ choruses. No bullshit, no clean singing, no -core… just good old-fashioned heavy Swedish melodic death metal.”

Case in point: “Kiss of a Sycophant,” the band’s new single and video, which recently premiered on Metal Injection. Granted, the video isn’t anything special… but the song! It is, indeed, “good old-fashioned heavy Swedish melodic death metal.” It’s the kind that’ll make you headbang so fast your skull will fly off. If you’ve ever been a Swedish melodeath fan, I can’t really see how you wouldn’t dig this.
