“Dead Planet”: New Oceano Song is An Actual Song!

I gotta hand it to Oceano: they have definitely undergone a creative evolution. Most of their past material was like all the worst stereotypes about metal writ large: riffless, structureless, repetative, droning noise, roughly as sophisticated as a mechanical monkey banging two cymbals together.

But their new single, “Dead Planet,” is, like, an actual, honest-to-Christ song! It’s organized into distinct sections! It’s not just one note over and over and over again, like a record stuck in one particular section of the song! It’s recognizable as music!!! This is a major step up for Oceano, and I, for one, commend them.
