Iris Divine Release New Song, Have Record Label Interest!

Iris Divine are a fantastic unsigned band we’ve written about many times over the years here on MetalSucks, seemingly to the response of crickets. So imagine my surprise when I loaded up my RSS reader this morning to learn that 1) The Deciblog ran a spotlight on the band featuring a new song and an interview, and 2) Said new song and the album from which it came have “caught some label attention and [are] being considered for official release.” That is spectacular news! We’ve been championing this band for over five years and could not be more pumped!

Iris Divine’s new album Karma Sown — self-released last month– has since been removed from their Bandcamp, presumably at the request of whatever record labels are sniffing at the band’s trail. But there’s still one song from the album posted, “A Suicide Aware,” which you can stream below. It’s exactly what we’ve come to expect from this band — super proggy musicianship wrapped up in a catchy, hooky shell (think: Dream Theater’s more pop-oriented songs) — only even more refined than ever before. Cannot wait to hear this full album on whatever label will have Iris Divine.
