Watch: First Live Footage of Jeff Loomis Playing with Arch Enemy

Arch Enemy broke the metalwebs in mid-November when they announced that legendary guitarist Jeff Loomis (ex-Nevermore) would be joining their ranks as second guitarist. We’re still adjusting to the fact that Loomis is in Arch Enemy for the foreseeable future, even though it makes total sense in pretty much every way imaginable.

Loomis’ first tour with the band kicked off over the weekend in Europe (dates here), and the inevitable cell phone footage has already surfaced. The below footage posted by Metal Injection was shot at Razzmatazz in Barcelona, Spain, and yep, that’s definitely Jeff Loomis! Arch Enemy’s bad-ass hair quotient just got a million times more awesome, and it’s kinda neat to see Loomis all dolled up in his very own black Arch Enemy outfit with armband. The band sounds great, and I’m suddenly way more interested in seeing them live than I have been in some time! Watch:
