Video: Faith No More Play Surprise Gig at Amoeba Records in San Francisco
Berkley was recently named one of the top ten places to live in the United States by livability.com, while MetalSucks’ hometown, NYC, didn’t even crack the top ten. And normally I’d be all, “Hey that’s bullshit!”, because New York is best at everything: the arts, food, women, baseball, total misery, etc. But then I read on Metal Underground that Faith No More played a surprise show at San Francisco’s Amoeba Records for Black Friday/Record Store Day, and suddenly I’m okay with the fact that livability.com have blatantly accepted bribes to discount The Greatest City in the World. Thank Christ we have people who are willing to watch what’s happening five feet in front of them on a little screen five inches from their face instead of actually just watching what’s happening five feet in front of them, so at least the rest of us can live vicariously.
Faith No More’s first new single in seventeen years, “Motherfucker,” was released for Record Store Day’s Black Friday event. You probably have to take to eBay to get it now, but you can listen to the track here in anticipation of its digital release on December 9. The band’s new album should be out sometime in 2015.
