Someone is Selling an Autographed Mayhem Deathcrush Vinyl on eBay for $4,860.01

Today in Opposite of Cyber Monday deals: someone is selling a rare, autographed Mayhem vinyl on eBay for the whopping sum of $4,860.01!

The vinyl is an original 1987 pressing of what the seller is calling the “Holy Grail of Black Metal,” Mayhem’s Deathcrush EP, released by Euronymous’ Posercorpse label before the name was changed to Deathlike Silence. It purports to be signed by all four members of the band at the time: Necro Butcher, Euronymous, Manheim and Maniac, who joined in 1987, and the seller claims to have its authenticity verified by “quite a few highly esteemed metal vinyl collectors, including the guy from Greece who has sold a few different copies of Deathcrush.”

I was never one to fawn over rare vinyl so I can’t speak to the appeal of this object, but to those of you out there who know more about this sort of thing than I do: what do you think? Is it worth the price??
