Here’s That Metal Cover of Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow” You Weren’t Asking For

Charli XCX is my new jam. In the vein of Robyn — one of my all-time favorites — she’s just got those grooves that I love! Non-ironic. Can’t get enough right now!

Iggy Azalea… ehhhh, not so much. I’ll give her credit for the hooks (that someone else probably wrote), but her music just seems very lowest common denominator to me. There’s nothing to it, it’s overly simple, carefully calculated to touch all the trigger-points of today’s average pop music fan.

That hasn’t stopped the world from losing its collective shit over the Australian youngin. And these days whenever there’s a pop smash there’s a million metal cover versions that follow. So, in the same vein as that metal cover of “Fancy” we posted last month, here’s one of Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow” from the same guy that covered Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” last year. I guess it’s pretty good?

Personally I’d rather hear be listening to a wigger slam cover of “Boom Clap” — can someone please get on top of that?
