Former Nevermore Guitarist Jeff Loomis Joins Arch Enemy
No, I’m not trolling you: Arch Enemy have announced via Facebook that guitar god Jeff Loomis “will be joining their ranks for their upcoming European tour which kicks off November 26, as well as all future tours in 2015.”
Loomis, it goes without saying, would be a major get for any metal band, even one that’s already as established and successful as Arch Enemy. It’s hard to imagine that watching him and Michael Amott trade solos won’t be awesome. Maybe the band will even convince him to stick around after 2015 and help write their next album. That could end up being pretty insane, no?
“But what about Nick Cordle?” asks no one. He’s out of the band for reasons that are presently unclear. It seems to be amicable, though. I’m sure his old job in Arsis will be opening up again sooner or later, so maybe he can get back with them.
