The Osbournes Television Show Officially a Thing Again
Just as Sharon threatened it would earlier this week, The Osbournes is returning to television — specifically, to VH1, and not MTV, where it originally began airing more than ten years ago.
Which makes sense. VH1 and MTV are both owned by Viacom, and VH1 has always been like MTV’s older, more nostalgic sibling. People who watched MTV in 2002, when The Osbournes debuted, are now past the whole TRL/Pregnant at Sixteen Months/Let My Mom Decide Who Gets to Fuck Me thing and onto the whole I Love the Decade in Which I Came of Age (Oh God My Youth is Gone and Death Draws Ever-Closer) thing. By the time The Osbournes do their second reunion in 2025, they’ll be ready to air on VH1 Classic.
No word yet on when the show will return, or if this means they’re also going to revive The Ozporns. God, I hope they revive The Ozporns.
