Christian Zealot Murders Teen Metalhead in Oklahoma

If you told me I’d be writing about Christianity twice in one day when I woke up this morning, I would have gone back to bed. Especially if I’d known the news was gonna be this depressing.

According to The Inquisitr, Isaiah Zoar Marin (above), age twenty-one, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in Stillwater, Oklahoma, after hacking nineteen-year-old Jacob Andrew Crockett with a sword. The crime included an attempted, but failed, decapitation. Crockett was discovered by police “covered in blood and was still carrying the sword in his hand.” Obviously, Marin made no attempt to deny his guilt — in fact, he called 911 and announced “I murdered someone,” and when police arrived at the scene, he told “I hacked them to death with a machete.”

Marin and Crockett were both students at Northern Oklahoma College, but authorities classify them as “acquaintances” rather than “friends.”

And why would Marin so brazenly commit such a horrible crime against someone it seems he didn’t even really know that well? Duh — he did it for God: Marin is a staunchly religious Christian who believed that Crockett and his brother, Jesse, were practicing witchcraft. (Jesse also alleges that Marin was a “heavy drug user.” Good to know Jesus approves of drugs, despite what Ted Nugent says.) In fact, according to Marin’s own brother, Samuel, the killer was watching YouTube videos pertaining to his religious beliefs only moments before he murdered Crockett.

Okay. So that’s really fucked up. But what does it have to do with metal, you ask? Well, here are photos of Crockett from Facebook: So, basically, a religious zealot met a young metal fan, decided he practiced witchcraft, and murdered him in the most unimaginably brutal manner possible.

I know Texas has the death penalty, but I really hope Marin isn’t sentenced to such a fate. We should throw this fucker in a box and let metal fans take turns kicking him in the nuts over and over and over again for the rest of his life. Death is too good for this motherfucker.
