Slayer’s Tom Araya Tells L.A. Fan Not to Sell His “Piece of Sh*t” Car, Offers Him Tickets and VIP Passes

Despite your collective, weed-induced amnesia and short attention span you surely remember the story we posted Tuesday about the L.A. man who’s willing to sell his 1997 Ford Escort for tickets to see Slayer at The Forum next month. That Slayer fan, Jake, made a very entertaining parody video of Matthew McConaughey’s Lincoln ad to go with it (watch here).

Seems we weren’t the only ones who took notice: Slayer’s Tom Araya himself got a hold of the video and has offered to comp Jake and a friend two tickets and VIP passes to the show via his own video message. Huzzah! Whether Jake actually needed the money for the tickets — or even wanted to go to the show at all — or he was just having fun making a spoof of a commercial isn’t really clear, but one way or the other: hey, free Slayer tix for that guy! And the satisfaction of knowing that Tom Araya appreciates his work.

Of course, if Jake were REALLY good, he would’ve been able to finagle himself one of the brand new Slayer-themed Scion cars.
