“Inked in Blood,” New Obituary Song, Premieres at 4:21
“Inked in Blood,” which is a new song by Floridian death metal legends Obituary, premiered on October 14 at Guitar World. It was 4:13.
The cause was the impending release of Obituary’s new album of the same name, the band’s label, Relapse, said, adding that the record would be released on October 27. It will be the band’s first offering since 2009’s Darkest Day.
Obituary, who were formed in 1984 in Tampa and released their debut album in 1989, are considered one of the forefathers of death metal, and have influenced a wide array of artists over the course of the past three decades.
The song is survived by eleven other ripping death metal jams, including “Violence,” which premiered on MetalSucks in September. Memorial donations can be made via pre-order of the album or the purchase of merchandise on the group’s upcoming tours with Carcass, Exhumed, and Noisem, as well as Death (DTA Tours), Rivers of Nihil, and Massacre.
