Start Your Morning with More Metal Yoga from Locrian’s André Foisy
With MetalSucks annual trip to New York Comic Con coming this week (and load-in tomorrow) I can feel my stress level building like the conviction and earnestness of 300,000 cosplay nerds trying to outsmart you with their super-obscure costume. Ten hours a day on my feet, slinging shirts, constantly talking until my voice is gone, eating crap convention center food, commuting into the bowels of midtown… and that SMELL, oh, that convention center stinky feet funk that starts setting in around day two! I’m dreading it.

I really enjoyed Locrian guitarist André Foisy’s last installment of Metal Yoga for Decibel, and since the exercise he outlined is so easy I find myself practicing it frequently. In today’s lesson André teaches a quick exercise to release tension and relieve pain in your neck and upper back by strengthening those muscles. Check it out above, and read the accompanying interview with Wolvserpent’s Brittany McConnell, a fellow yoga instructor.
Or, of course, you could just eat cookies and do this workout instead:
