Unsigned and Unholy: Temple of Void, Whore of Bethlehem, Aspherium

Temple of Void from Detroit, MI tell you pretty much everything you need to know about how they sound with their band name. The temple from which they come is dark, downtrodden, crumbling, even decrepit, and it’s inhabited by evil, haunted souls with nothing in their hearts but pure, suffocating darkness. I spent all morning listening to Of Terror and the Supernatural and now I’m going back for round two. Stream it below via Bandcamp:

Absolutely loving the Morbid Angel and Cannibal Corpse worship laid down by the dudes in Whore of Bethlehem. Their music video is crude, but it does the job; would definitely go see these guys play!

Aspherium take a bit more of a modern take on their metal than either of the above, incorporating synths and atmospherics into their progressive death metal approach. No cheese here, though: think Xerath, Keep of Kalessin, Fallujah, etc. Really well done stuff.
