Watch Sevendust Perform “Come Down” from Their Acoustic Live Show

Commenters on this site and naysayers in real life often wonder why Axl and I love Sevendust so much while regularly crapping on so many of their peers.

Because Sevendust execute flawless three-part vocal harmonies on the regular. Because Clint Lowery is a frickin’ songwriting genius. Because Morgan Rose plays in a pocket deeper than Bill Gates’. Because Lajon Witherspoon, period. Because, as a unit, they’re one of the tightest live bands on the planet.

And because they do awesome things like release an entirely acoustic album and then tour on it. All that’s on display in this clip of “Come Down” — one of the new songs written for the aforementioned acoustic release, Time Travelers & Bonfires — shot live at the Gothic Theater in Denver, CO earlier this year. Man, I wish I’d been able to see this tour when it came through NYC — looks like the vibes were magical (yes, I’m aware of how corny that sounds). An Evening With Sevendust: Live From The Gothic Theater will premiere tonight on AXS.tv, and hopefully it’ll be released in DVD form too sooner rather than later.
