Watch the Documentary Slow Southern Steel for Free

We’ve been hearing about the documentary Slow Southern Steel since at least 2009, with nary an opportunity to see the movie for ourselves. But that all changes now! The doc, which was co-directed by Rwake vocalist Chris Terry and David Lipke, is now available for free and legal streaming via YouTube. You can check it out below. I haven’t had a chance to view it myself yet, seeing as I just learned of its availability like ten minutes ago, but, really, how bad can anything associated with Rwake be? It also seems as though it will make a really cool companion piece for Noisey’s upcoming seven-part series NOLA: Life, Death and Heavy Blues from the Bayou, the trailer for which we debuted yesterday.
