Watch the Late Joan Rivers Interview GWAR and Van Halen’s David Lee Roth

Joan Rivers has died at age 81. The outpouring of grief from the metal community thus far has been minimal, limited, as far as Vince and I have seen at least, to this tweet Motörhead from and this tweet from Body Count’s Ice-T. Even though she had the speaking voice of a Cookie Monster vocalist and the face of a Slipknot mask, I guess she wasn’t extreme enough for the extreme music scene.

Maybe these will convince you all that Joan Rivers was metal as fuqq, though: a 1990 interview the comédienne GWAR’s Oderus Urungus and Beefcake the Mighty, and an interview with David Lee Roth conducted I dunno when (but it looks like it was roughly around the same time, maybe a few years earlier). Both are every bit as entertaining as you’d imagine. Watch:
