Steve Vai and Periphery’s Misha Mansoor to Appear on Soundtrack for Halo 2 Anniversary Edition
It’s a good time to be a gaming fan and a Periphery fan. First, last week Rockstar Games, makers of the Grand Theft Auto series, officially approved a GTA V task created by Periphery guitarist Jake Bowen; now Misha Mansoor, along with other notable musicians such as Steve Vai, has been tapped to re-record the Halo 2 score for that game’s upcoming anniversary edition, Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Here’s a sample of Mansoor’s contribution to the game, which is, unsurprisingly, quite rockin’:
This new edition of Halo will be released on November 11 for the Xbox One. No word on whether or not the soundtrack will be available for purchase as a separate item.
