Slipknot Have FINALLY Announced All the Details of Their New Album (Plus: A New Song!)
Update, 10:25 am: The band has also announced a tour with Korn and King 810. Get dates at the bottom of this post.
We knew this was coming, but now it has come: Slipknot have, at last, announced the details of their new album. And when I say “Slipknot,” I mean “iTunes and Amazon,” both of which seems to have beaten the band to the announcement. Oops. Well, no big deal. I’m sure Clown is remaining perfectly calm. That seems in keeping with his personality.
ANYWAY, the album is going to be called .5: The Gray Chapter, which I guess technically makes it a prequel to all the other Slipknot albums. It’ll be out October 21 on Roadrunner. Here’s the track list…
- XIX
- Sarcastrophe
- Aov
- The Devil In I
- Killpop
- Skeptic
- Lech
- Goodbye
- Nomadic
- The One That Kills the Least
- Custer
- Be Prepared For Hell
- The Negative One
- If Rain Is What You Want
…and here’s an itty bitty version of the album art. WARNING: this album art is so sexy it may induce the immediate need for masturbatory relief. Consider NSFW!!!
And as if all that wasn’t enough to get the Maggots all hot n’ bothered, the band has also released their new single, “The Devil in I,” which you can check out below. If you’re one of those people who’s like “Slipknot sound too much like Stone Sour now,” well, hey, guess what? This song isn’t gonna do much to convince you you’re wrong.
