Abysmal Dawn and Nero Di Marte Have Announced New Albums!

Death metal fans are in for a good autumn: two of the genre’s most impressive bands, Absymal Dawn and Nero Di Marte, have both announced new releases! Here are details:

• Abysmal Dawn’s latest offering, Obsolescence, will be released October 28 on Relapse; in case you’re rrrreeeeaallllyyy thick, that’s the cover art above. I’ve already heard this one so I can already tell you that, yes, it does indeed kick a great number of ass cheeks. Guitarist/vocalist Charles Elliott assures fans that “we aren’t singing about rainbows, puppies and the girl next-door on this one,” although I’d pay good money to hear an Abysmal Dawn song about rainbows and puppies. ANYWAY, mark this shit in your calendar, it’s really good.
• Nero Di Marte have announced that their sophomore offering, Derivae, will be out this fall on Prosthetic. Even without a firm release date, that’s great news, and the band scores extra points ’cause it’s only been a year since the release of their totally killer self-titled debut. Gotta love that turnaround speed!
