Video: Ex-Megadeth Drummer Nick Menza Thinks He Saw a U.F.O.

Poor Nick Menza. Since doctors diagnosed him with a knee tumor in 1998 after which Dave Mustaine summarily fired him, things just haven’t been going his way.

And so it’s come to this: on the night of July 14th Nick Menza and his two boys ventured into the back yard of their Studio City, CA home to check out that night’s incredible “supermoon” (which I also happened to see — whilst on shrooms — but that’s a story for another day) but they ended up seeing a whole lot more than they bargained for. Lambgoat has the story, and here’s what Menza offered:

I was standing in my front yard with my two boys and this is what we saw. [It had] the shape of a triangular object with rounded tips glowing yellow and white. Not sure what it is, but it looked totally awesome.

We lost sight of it as it went up through the clouds. It was distant, dimly lit and hardly moving… If it wasn’t for the fact that we went out to look at the big moon… We probably would not have noticed it. The Samsung Galaxy4 camera was on full zoom… Hence the shakiness even after stabilization. In total 4 witnesses including me.

Well I know what I think this was… I would like to hear from others who may have seen the same thing… or anything who thinks they know what this was and has a reasonable explanation of its origins if explained as terrestrial. Leave your comments.

I’ve watched the video twice now and whatever’s up there in the sky next to the moon is pretty bizarre looking, but I’m sure it can be easily explained away as a helicopter, military aircraft, or Dave Mustaine’s spirit continuing to haunt Menza and his family. Watch:
