Leprous (aka Ihsahn’s Band) Announce North American Mini-Tour
Leprous — better known to the world as the band that backs up Ihsahn during his solo performances, but an absolutely killer, boner-worthy prog band in their own right — have announced a very brief North American tour for the upcoming fall. The all-too-short September run will cover five cities in the U.S. and two in Canada including a performance at the annual Prog Power USA festival in Atlanta (at which they’ve backed up Ihsahn in the past).
Here are the dates, presented by Heavy Blog is Heavy:
9/12 Atlanta, GA — Prog Power USA
9/16 Detroit, MI — The Token Lounge
9/17 Chicago, IL — Reggie’s
9/18 Toronto, ON — The Comfort Zone
9/19 Ottawa, ON — Macerick’s
9/20 New York, NY — Studio @ Webster Hall
9/21 Springfield, VA — Empire
Very excitebike for the NYC show! Gonna be a banger… as much as a room full of prog dorks can make any show a “banger.” Here’s the trippy and awesome video for “Restless” from Leprous’ 2011 album Bilateral (they released Coal in 2013 as well):
