Anthrax’s Scott Ian is The Man

Was it public knowledge that Scott Ian was writing his autobiography? I knew he writes comic books, but I can’t remember ever hearing about him working on a memoir.

Regardless, Ian did write his autobiography, and it’s coming out in the fall. I’m The Man: The Story of Anthrax will be released via Da Capo Press on October 14. The book was co-authored by Jon Wiederhorn, a writer with whom MetalSucks readers ought to be familiar.

As an Anthrax fan and a Scott Ian fan, I am, of course, looking forward to reading this. It’s likely the tome will be chock full of great behind-the-scenes stories, but the part I’m actually most curious about is the Dan Nelson era of Anthrax, because we still really have no idea what the hell happened there. I’m sure Nelson will dispute whatever Ian has to say, but still… it’ll be nice to hear an in-depth explanation of Ian’s side of the story.
