Forget Sweep Picking: Mattias Eklundh Introduces Comb Picking
Is there any real reason for virtuoso Mattias Eklundh to use a comb as a pick during this demonstration of his eight-string Caparison guitar? Is he just trying to outdo Jimmy Page’s infamous use of a violin bow? Demonstrate how easy it is to make the guitar sound cool? Trying something different for the sake of it? Sincerely worried about the messiness of the guitar’s coif? I have no idea… but he is definitely breaking new ground here…
