Fallujah Carve a New Song from Stone
Lambgoat has premiered “Carved from Stone,” the latest jam from metal’s fastest rising young tech-death act. Not only does it totally rip, but it’s bookended by this little four-note riff that sounds at once scary and sexy… actually, now that I think of it, it’s the perfect aural representation of the album art for Fallujah’s new offering, The Flesh Prevails.
And it’s evocative! Even though its obviously brand new, something about it has a madeleines-from-Remembrance of Things Past-esque effect on me; it makes me feel like I’m a kid in the 80s again, watching some slasher movie I’m not supposed to be watching. I’m sure that sounds pretty nutty, but I swear, it’s true. And I think it says a lot about the song that it can hit a psychologically sentimental spot like that. I really do mean it as high praise.
Check out “Carved from Stone” here to see what psychologically sentimental spot it hits for you. The Flesh Prevails comes out July 22 on Unique Leader. MetalSucks just so happens to have debuted another new track from the album, “Sapphire,” last month — listen here.
Fallujah will also be part of this year’s Summer Slaughter alongside Morbid Angel, Dying Fetus, The Faceless, Thy Art is Murder, Goatwhore, Origin, Decrepit Birth, and Within the Ruins. Get dates here.
