“Wastelands”: Linkin Park’s New Song Slams the Door When it Comes Into the Bedroom

I doubt this will surprise any of regular readers, but I do not like “Wastelands,” the just-released single from popular nu-narcs, Linkin Park.To the band’s credit, they’re clearly not just recycling the same shit over and over and over again the way they used to; to the band’s discredit, their idea of creative evolution appears to be aping Marilyn Manson. Not, like, fun Marilyn Manson, either — more recent, garage rawk Marilyn Manson. “Wastelands” is so cheesy and boring I can’t even really imagine the bands’ fans being into it… but then again, I can’t understand the band even having fans, so maybe I’m just the wrong dude to ask.
