Chuck Billy is Haunted

Even with the maxi-single/EP thinger they released earlier this year proving that The Haunted can have a future despite some recent major line-up changes, fans may still have their doubts about this band’s ability to remain cool going forward. So, one clever way to make sure the metal community at least gives ’em their fair shake: book a guest appearance by Testament vocalist Chuck Billy, a dude who certainly knows a little something about remaining cool in the face of seemingly-disastrous changes of personnel.

Metal Insider reports that Billy will appear on a track tentatively titled “Trendkiller,” which Juan Urteaga (Machine Head, Vicious Rumors) has proclaimed to be “siqq as heqq” “sick as heck.” Which, if we’re being honest, doesn’t mean much, because it’s not like someone working on the album is gonna tell everyone if it sucks. But still. I remain optimistic about this release.

I guess we’ll find out soon enough… it’s supposed to come out later this year on Century Media.
