New Cynic Tour Dates Will Turn North American Fans Into Optimists
I haven’t seen Cynic live since 2011, and that fact hurts my soul. I will almost certainly never achieve the heights of enlightenment realized by Paul Masvidal, but for sixty to ninety minutes, I can feel like maybe I might via the transportational magic that is Cynic live. I know there are people who don’t love this band, and the only reason I’m not gonna say I feel like a different species from these people is because I suspect Paul Masvidal would never approve of such a segregational message.
So. Awesome news! Cynic will at last tour North America again this summer, with support coming from Lesser Key and We Are The City or The Reign of Kindo (depending on where you live). This will be our first chance to hear some of the group’s most recent release, Kindly Bent to Free Us, live and in the flesh… and maybe they’ll play some of The Portal Tapes too? Whatever whatever whatever, I’d go see Cynic play selections from the works of Limp Bizkit. I love them that much.
