Tommy Lee is Going to Play Drums on the New Smashing Pumpkins Album
Well, this would have been unthinkable twenty years ago.
According to The Smashing Pumpkins’ website, Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee will play drums on “all nine songs” of the Pumpkins’ upcoming coming album, Monument To An Elegy. And to prove it, they posted a small photo of Billy Corgan looking incredibly uncomfortable while Tommy Lee acts like a d-bag:
My adolescent self, who thought that both of these schmucks were cool, would be SO STOKED for this. But when’s the last time either of them were involved in anything that was actually, like, good? Funny enough, it would have been around ’94/’95, at the low of Crüe’s career and the height of the Pumpkins’. Y’know, when there was no was in fuck Corgan would have been caught dead in a studio with Tommy Lee.
ANYWAY, I look forward to making fun of this when it comes out.
