One of these days in the not too distant future we’re gonna host The Atlas Moth’s Stavros Giannopoulos as a special guest on The MetalSucks Podcast. Dude is hella entertaining as I learned when I interviewed him a few years back, as you might’ve gathered from his public shenanigans/feud with Emmure’s Frankie Palmeri, or if you’ve ever stumbled into a conversation with him at an Atlas Moth show. We expect plenty of fun times and shit-talking to ensue!

Stavros is promoting a new Atlas Moth album, of course, and today we get to hear “Sacred Vine,” the second track that’s been released from The Old Believer. This is definitely one of the most morose songs in all of The Atlas Moth’s catalog, but it’s also one of the most beautiful: knowing nothing about the lyrics and speaking just about the music here, the chords and arrangement impart a certain sense of melancholy and longing that cuts right to the heart. Stream it at Alt Press, of all places, and check the previously released song “Collider” if you haven’t yet.

The Old Believer comes out on June 10 via Profound Lore Records.
