Okay, kiddies… who’s ready for some capital-“E” Epic melodic death metal from Finland’s reigning kings of the genre? We’ve been massive Insomnium fans since the release of their 2004 sophomore effort, Since the Day It All Came Down (alas, we weren’t cool enough to get in on the ground floor with 2002’s In the Halls of Awaiting). So to say we were honored when they asked us to stream their monstrous new release, Shadows of the Dying Sun, would be a massive understatement. Brutal and beautiful, massive and cinematic, Shadows of the Dying Sun features all the elements that Insomnium fans love and crave.
