Former Members of As I Lay Dying Announce New Band, Wovenwar
Following several social network teases, the members of As I Lay Dying who aren’t currently awaiting sentencing for attempted murder have, at last, announced their new band. It’s called Wovenwar — not Worshipper, as previously rumored — and according to the press release, the band has already completed recording their self-titled debut album with producer Bill Stevenson (Descendents, Black Flag) and mixer Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Machine Head, Trivium), which will come out on Metal Blade in the late summer. They’ll release their first single, “All Rise,” on April 21 (although it won’t be the final mastered version of the song). As Tim Lambesis already revealed when talking about himself in the third person, the band’s vocalist will be Shane Blay, formerly of Oh, Sleeper.
Here’s a small taste of what Wovenwar have in store for us:
That’s all we get for now, but you can keep up with the band via their official website and/or Facebook page. We’ll be sure to share more info as it becomes available.
