Mike Shinoda Has Heard of Meshuggah and Botch

Today’s winner of the “Yeah No Shit!” award is Link Park’s Mike Shinoda, who recently told Rolling Stone the following about the band’s new album:

“We didn’t make a Botch record. We didn’t make a Meshuggah record. We made a really loud and aggressive Linkin Park record, maybe the loudest we’ve made.”

I don’t think I’m alone in saying that ABSO-FUCKIN’-LUTELY NOBODY will be shocked that Linkin Park didn’t make an album that sounds like Botch or Meshuggah. I can’t even imagine anyone DREAMED that they might do so. Like, if I ever got a press release about the new Linkin Park single, and I listened to it and it sounded like Botch, I think my fucking brain would explode.

Really, what’s surprising about this quote is that Shinoda even knows who Meshuggah and Botch are in the first place. So, like, you have in fact heard good music. And you STILL wanna do this Linkin Park bullshit?
