Reunited Failure Announce North American Tour!
I have a bone to pick with our brothers in blog at Decibel. While I was elated to learn they’d chosen Failure for a Decibel Hall of Fame feature, I was surprised to see they’d chosen Fantastic Planet over Magnified for the greatest honors in all of metal. The shock, the horror! I kid, of course — mostly I’m just happy to see such an under-appreciated band get some recognition — but I genuinely didn’t realize that any album other than Magnified could be considered their magnum opus. It’s all about the songs, man! I tried re-listening to Fantastic Planet over the weekend and nothing on it stuck. Is it just me?
Here’s some news that fans of both albums can presumably get behind: the recently reunited Failure have announced a North American tour set to take place in May and June, this after a string of West Coast and Texas dates opening for Tool. It’s not a full North American tour, but it’s hitting the major markets on both coasts and a few in the middle. If you’re a Failure fan and you’ve been waiting for this reunion for years, better consider hopping on a plane because who knows if and when they’ll play again. Dates:
