Insomnium’s New Song is Not a Revelation

Normally, a new Insomnium song is just, like, a total splooge-fest. But the band’s latest, “Revelations,” is disappointing. Not that it’s a bad song — it’s not — but, as Vince put it, “it’s a bit by the numbers… after five albums of this it’s really time for them to mix it up a bit!” And on top of the song’s genericness, it also feels oddly less-than-EPIC, which is odd, because being EPIC is what Insomnium are all about.

So, yeah. We’re some some sad Insomnium fans here at the MetalSucks Mansion today.
