Former W.A.S.P. Guitarist Chris Holmes is Selling His ’87 Pontiac on Craigslist
Former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes is expatriating to Europe, and I guess he’s using the occasion to treat himself to a new car… ’cause he’s selling his ’87 Pontiac Firebird on Craigslist. I know what you’re thinking: 1987 was a long time ago! But don’t worry, Chris has kept the car in good shape:
My friend Nick, who sent this to me, notes that “The best part is the pic of Holmes in the car… as if that increases the value”:
But I actually think the best parts are these gems from the product description:
- “This car has never been registered in California and is doubtful that it will pass smog/emissions in its current state.”
- “It does start and can be driven, although I would not attempt to drive it any distance in its current condition.”
- “The car starts by turning on an electric fuel pump, then a switch starts the engine.”
- “There is a trunk key, but I do not believe there is a lock.”
- “Chris even signed the hood for posterity!”
And here’s what Chris signed on the hood:
This fine piece of machinery and rock n’ roll history is a steal at $1,500! (I assume this does not include the cost of the tow truck you’ll have to hire to have the car brought to wherever, seeing as you can’t drive it.) Interested parties can get more info here.
