So in case ya didn’t see it: last night on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart encouraged viewers to take this wordless, wholly ridiculous new campaign ad for Kentucky senator Mitch McConnell…

…and set it to new music, unleashing the hilarious results upon the world via Twitter, with the hashtag #mcconelling. Needless to say, the internet has taken to it like Phil Fasciana has to taken to racial slurs. And there have been plenty of hilarious additions to the list… and yet, as of this writing, I haven’t seen a single one which is metal.

What gives, people? Who enjoys taking video and setting it to the violent music we adore more than the metal community?

So I hereby call upon all MetalSucks readers to immediately begin contributing to the #mcconelling campaign… only I ask that in addition to the regular hashtag, you also add #metalmcconelling. Why? Because I like alliterations, that’s why.
