Best Video Ever of the Day: Disco Death Metal (via Future Islands)

This video of modern-day disco sensations Future Islands performing on Letterman has been making the rounds since it aired last week, mostly because of frontman Samuel T. Herring’s most excellent dance moves that only get more and more righteous as the video goes on.

When good friend of MS Juggalo Bob sent me the video I was on board from moment one: dat beat! those dance moves! Sign me up.

But then came the DEATH GROWLS. And I nearly lost my shit.

The first pseudo-growl occurs around the 0:40 mark, slyly mixed into Herring’s regularly delivery. There’s another one around 0:50. But then Herring plays it pretty cool before really going for it around 2:05, and shit is ON! He cannot be stopped.

There must be some Morbid Angel in this guy’s past. Just sayin’.
