Kaunis Kuolematon’s “Kivisydän” is Killer
I hope you’re wearing loose fitting pants, fans of epic melodic Euro doom death, ’cause you’re about to get a massive boner.
No Clean Singing has premiered “Kivisydän,” from the forthcoming album Kylmä Kaunis Maailma by Kaunis Kuolematon, a Finnish band who really like the letter “K.” I’m not gonna tell you what any of those words translate to in English ‘case your capable of using Google Translate yourself, but I will say that their meanings sound considerably more sad once robbed of alliterations and umlauts.
Which makes sense: Kaunis Kuolematon’s music is very much in the same vein as their fellow Finlanders, Swallow the Sun and Ghost Brigade. Which is to say, if you’re looking for either speed or joy, look elsewhere. But if giant, lumbering, cinematic odes to wallowing in depression are your thing, well… I have no doubt you will love this.
Kaunis Kuolematon’s Kylmä Kunis Mila komes out April 25 on Violent Journey Records.
