Ice T’s Body Count to Play 2014 Mayhem Festival

Well, the 2014 edition of Mayhem Fest just got a helluva lot more interesting.

On the latest episode of his podcast, Final Level, rapper/OG pimp Ice-T announced that his metal band, Body Count, will appear “on a couple of dates on the metal Mayhem tour.” Presumably, he means the festival sponsored by Rockstar Energy Drink, and not a tour with black metal band, Mayhem (although I would SO go to a Mayhem/Body Count show). A couple of weeks ago, guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer let it slip that both Korn and Avenged Sevenfold will part of the tour, too. So now we know three bands on the bill… although it sounds as though Body Count aren’t playing on all dates.

Meanwhile, the band is apparently wrapping up their Sumerian Records debut. I know it’s a little weird how excited I am for it, and I know that chances are it’ll be disappointing, but still… what if it’s not???
